Well, I knew it would happen eventually. The French have gone on strike and have ruined my plans for the weekend. Trains aren’t running at full capacity because of the “Transportation Strike,” which also makes it hard to catch buses around town. So much for going to Chinon this weekend, the closest I can get is Tours, which isn’t close enough. I guess Bordeaux will just have to do. Perhaps I can find Montaigne’s house?
